This showed up on my doorstep last week. I ordered it some years ago when I was very much into Tele’s. This is a Dikkers Sparklecaster, although somewhat unique in that it has a chambered mahogany body with a maple top, and a Lollar Charlie Christian pickup at the neck. It sounds great!
Here is the outline and template for the body of my new signature model guitar. Really getting excited about this project.
Here I am at the local jam session again. I actually look like I’m having fun.
This is my friend Spider Tetsu checking out my 1950 ES-175 shortly after I got it. For some reason it sounds better when he plays it!
Here is the fingerboard for my guitar being cut for frets. The wood is Madagascar rosewood.
Here are the two sides of the body being glued together.
Here’s a nice piece of Madagascar rosewood for the fingerboard.
This is my new guitar in progress. Two slabs of mahogany for the body. There’s still a ways to go.
