A couple years ago I was fortunate enough to meet a talented young artist here in Tokyo at a coffee shop where she was working part-time as a waitress. When she showed me some of the line drawings she had done, I asked her to draw my camera (Fujifilm X-Pro2) in her style and she very kindly obliged. She made me two drawings and I selected this one as the logo for my blog and to be used on my name cards.
You can see that the drawing is signed “Shimamiyu.” That is her pen-name, and since I don’t have her permission to use her real name, I’ll leave it at that. Hopefully this won’t be the only artwork from “Shimamiyu” that I own. I’m looking forward to seeing more of her work in the future.
